Summer Camp InfoWe have a number of campers and parents asking what they should pack for camp.  The following is a list of the things we recommend:
  • Clothing
    • Please pack clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, the activities that you (or your child) will be participating in, and the length of camp.
    • All clothing should be modest:
      • Shorts - fingertips should reach hem
      • Tops - should not be low cut or have thin straps
      • Clothing with offensive logos or slogans will not be permitted
    • Swimwear - modest swimwear please, no bikinis or tankinis
    • Footwear - good quality athletic shoes are recommended for outdoor activities; flip-flops or sandals may also come in handy
    • Headwear - hats or caps are encouraged on hot days
    • Horse riding - long pants, socks, and closed-toe shoes or boots are required
    • Specialty Camps (Paintball, Horsemanship, BMX, etc) - please come prepared for the specialized activites of your camp
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Toiletries
    • Towel, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
  • Sunscreen
  • Bible
  • Pen and notepad
  • Flashlight
  • Prescription Medication (to be left with the camp nurse or first aid official)

 

The following is a list of items you should not bring to camp:

  • Electronic devices
    • Cellphones, smartphones, iPods, mp3 players, cameras, etc.
  • Prohobited items
    • Tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons (including firearms), knives
  • Cash or other valuables (please turn into the camp office for safekeeping)
  • Candy, snacks, etc (we prefer not to have food stored in cabins)
